I was Patrolling above a Rychart world, hoping to uncover a Contact, when I got an Influence Conflict card. I got a message saying I assisted the Javat in their Spy War against the Rychart. This doesn't make sense, as Patrolling is assisting the local Faction forces.

I had a worse problem. I was a Javat Zealot on a mission to protect a Javat world from enemy action. While Patrolling, got attacked by a Javat Military Officer in a great big ship ....

I think the original bug is a bigger issue. When the Javat military ship arrived, what was the hostility? Do you remember checking the Rumors / Conflicts tab?

I think the original bug is a bigger issue. When the Javat military ship arrived, what was the hostility? Do you remember checking the Rumors / Conflicts tab? It was very hostile. Came in shooting, no talking with that one. And a Spy War was on, I forget against whom, but that was the whole point of my mission. "Come Patrol and defend Javat interests at Planet so-and-so". I think the Javat military thought that I was the enemy. From a coding point of view, this may be the same bug. But Brutus Aurelius just lost some rep. I lost crew! |

This doesn't make sense, as Patrolling is assisting the local Faction forces. I just got this too, and helped (added +27 Conflict score) with a Trade War against the faction I was sent to help. If my contacts are unhappy with me over this, well, I cannot blame them. |

But at the end, I get mission success, and rep bonus with the contact that sent me there, so that part is working ok.
