My new character is a Male Facer, Normal Diff, on Droid 3, stock rom.
Currently I am playing a no-combat, no cyber, just explore type game, and am fiddling with blue ox courier missions. All my reps (including ox) are extremely low, very close to 0.
In an effort to find vchips, I confront everything, then escape any battles.
I am now running into an event I've never seen before. When hitting the encounter that mentions '3 men briskly walk toward you' (or whatever, working off memory here), and choosing confront, I get a screentoast that says 'this is for what you did for us that night. We'll never forget you.' (Again, roughly... working off memory) I don't see any change in inventory, xp, or yen.
What does this encounter do? Is it broken? Placeholder? Is it supposed to do something? Should there be a second screentoast mentioning what the encounter result was? (Item, yen, rep, heat, whatever)

Depending on how recently you did something heroic (saved people by winning a fight) that encounter gives you +1 XP or +25 credits.
It sounds like you're just not going enough to score a bonus in that encounter. They're probably giving you a crust of bread or a used crammer

Would it be possible to add an additional toast after that one to state what you received? (Ex: "They teach you a few things about the area, helping you understand some of the gutterscrawl on the buildings. +1XP", "They pool together a half dozen cred-chits and and eagerly hand them to you. +25¥", "They try to press a smelly used blanket and a stale crammer vial into your hands, which you politely decline... secretly afraid you'd catch whatever disease from them that their previous owner has. No bonus.")

Heck if that's too much, just put the rewards simply, and a 'No useful reward' for a no-reward result.

I'm not going to mess with it because it will be completely removed in the future when replaced by Encounters v2
