If you need to uninstall a previous version of the game, but want to keep your templates, you can do so with a little bit of work, if you are on desktop. 1. Copy the .json files from the old save game folder. 2. Uninstall the previous version of the game and delete the old saved game folder. 3. Install the new version of the game. 4. Start the game, go into New Captain and click New Template once for each Template you want to copy over. 5. In the saved game folder, new .json files will appear. Open your old .json files with a text editor and copy the contents of each of those .json files into the newly created files. 6. Close and re-open the game. Ta-da In the future this will be improved with an import / export routine, but this is a manual process to use for the alpha and for the moment. This one is for Brutus Aurelius

Would be really cool to be able to import / export between platforms where the game is installed: my android tablet captain to my win10 desktop. Even if we have to pay to play an elite version of the game, elite could only transfer to elite. Free could transfer to elite by not visa versa.
This could apply to templates, captains, maps, etc.

Transfering templates already is a KS feature promised. We want maps to do this too -- and maybe this will be in the release, or maybe it will be on the roadmap for getting out after the release, said fallen.

I really hope at release, but this is just depending on how efficiently I'm able to code

In the words of Andrew, code faster! I need to stop finding vanishing passenger cabins that eat a whole day of coding time, too. No, please goodness please, find them. That one day in alpha testing phase 1 is two days in phase 2 ... or a week of incredible horrible stress after release. You're literally saving my life by finding these bugs now Left to fester, some of them might be strong enough to kill me after release. We have to get them while they are weak.

Please note, 1.0.25 comes with some changes to the Attribute rules. You may need to modify the text of your JSON file in order to get them to be valid.
