John Robinson - the data is exported from the game's database directly. As long as we run an export process, then the wiki will get the latest. This should help save your fingers and wrists from hours of data export manually. You'll have the time instead to write guides and higher level content I will look into seeing if those tables could be sortable, but I doubt it. Maybe secondary tables that are by Grouping, but again, maybe overkill. We'll see how it goes! Hopefully Jobs coming up soon.

Ah, that must be the ancestors of that Prince on Baza Prime I met in STRPG. That's correct.

fallen Just took a look. This looks very professional color choices, readability, and what isn't implemented. Really like the speedy lookup alphabetical order. First impressions; Wow I wonder if there is a way to get a printer friendly version? Next thought was; Is there a way to look at the list by Grouping? Not suggestions just the first things that popped into mind.Does this thing self update when you make a change? The data goes into some kind of program? Very cool Just beg them to make an-export-to-Google-spreadsheet as well as an-export-to-wiki. Then group things there. But not now, please, dear god some of us are desperate to get to play the game without the added thrill of vanishing ship components.

Will that shiny new Passenger cabin actually be there next time I land? Will that very expensive new cannon actually be there next time pirates attack? Very exciting game feature and helps ensure that players bankrolls never get too large

When I think of the content you added in one year to HoS, there is simply no way to do it manually. I'm also thinking about how big it will grow in 4 years and beyond. Captain C.T. Dummy rates this feature 10 out of 10.

Was able to copy/paste into Excel; so for semi-current brain tossing-ness, one could sort through the info as preferred. Presumably with Google's version as well. For me anyway, it's good enough...

"Your Captain will advance the most quickly, while Officers will follow close behind, and your run of the mill crew will gain in Job Ranks and Talents the slowest." From what's currently posted, the Officers are advanced the faster/highest, and there is no difference between the Captain table and Crew table...

"Your Captain will advance the most quickly, while Officers will follow close behind, and your run of the mill crew will gain in Job Ranks and Talents the slowest." Looks like the Captain and Officer tables are swapped? Yah, need clarity on speed of upgrading to next vs max upgrade. I actually don't mind officers achieving higher levels; more officers than captains.

Glad it's basically an auto-insert from your export of game data/info. big thumbs up.

I'm astonished how fast you're producing these beautiful tables. I'm crazy happy, Thank You

Well, now that we have data export tools, I am far less motivated to post spelling and grammar errors in the typos thread. It seems much simpler if I can just make a boat load of fixes on all the traits texts, for instance, wholesale. This leaves plenty of room for 'wouldn't that be better off called Gossip?' discussions and the like, but will free up poor fallen from a lot of scutwork. So let me know when import is ready to go.

Lol, this is what you get when you write bad export code!

Let's be careful about discussing a workflow. If you go in and make edits to the Traits text, it will simply get wiped out the next time I do an export. That data is not the master.
