This might be a one in a thousand maps, but I've always preferred a more interconnected map, that looks web of quadrants with some offshoots instead of the string galaxy, where all the quadrants are in a straight line. Just a thought about preference really.

Maybe we want to be able to control this in the map creation screen? We are looking at interconnectedness factor 0 (completely linear) and the spiderweb would be factor 5 (or whatever the max is) ?

ChocoCrowbar - thanks for the post. We'll keep working on improving the map gen! We are aware of this rare edge case.

Just a thought about preference really. I think this probably occurs in about 1 in 750 maps at nominal grid size. More common if you use the false grid sizes below 15. Below 15 the map gen is just guessing, it will not be run with that few nodes in production, that's an alpha only optino.

So recommended map size is >15?

So recommended map size is >15? Yes, >= 15 is the system running normally. It will still generate trash now and again, and I'm working on that.
