I think it would help avoid confusion and possible bug reports to have all of the filters in the Sell interface turned off by default, that cargo that is illegal is still visible, and is labeled as such. There were a couple times where I confused hidden, illegal cargo for being hidden by the bug that grävling reported, rather than being hidden by a filter. |

I would argue for having separate filter status for the Sell screen. A settlement might offer for sale a lot of stuff, some of which I either cannot buy, or do not want, so having filters when buying is important.
On my ship though, I'm unlikely to have more than a dozen types. I'd rather see everything I have when selling. That said, I haven't done a lot of trading after the new UI revamp. Maybe other more prolific traders/pirates could chime in here.
