I can't seem to find where, but I'm pretty sure some of this has been covered already as regards mission acceptance decision making. "Hm. Do I have any other missions? Do any of them go the way this proposed mission wants me to go?" You've gotta lift off from the zone, go into orbit, then into space to check your current missions. (I know you can do the travel with a single click on the map icon, but that is a shortcut for lifting off and leaving orbit). I won't advocate for anything in this regard since it has been covered. Somewhere. <shrug>
However, there is a similar issue with logging out of the game. You've got to completely leave the planet you are parked on to access the menu that allows you to log. However, when you log in again, you need to top off your fuel since you will have to enter orbit and land in the planetary zone. Again. I'm speculating that you may also have to make repairs, pay your crew, visit the doctor's office, and check on how the kids are doing in the spice hall. I don't know what checks are made for going into and out of orbit, and for landing or lifting from a planet's zone, but I do know that it costs creds just to log off and back on. It would be very cool, and easier on my wallet, if we could be given the option of logging out from any screen we happen to be on whether it is from one of a planet's zones, from orbit, or from somewhere in the inky void of deep space. Secondarily, it would also mean that when we log back in, we have the same state that we had when we logged off: be in deep space if that's where we were, or in orbit, or on the launch pads of a planetary zone.
