Is there a missing startup contact ?

This is my first time playing with a Military Officer. When playing explorer I thought I saw a retired contact that could help with recruiting  the best fighters?
I don't remember the exact name of the contact, and hope somebody can straighten me out. These are the starting contacts I have available on my new template.

Smuggler, Merchant, Starport Mechanic, Spice Trader, Prince, Ex-Bounty Hunter, Retired Explorer, Fixer, Politician, Weapons Dealer, Intelligence officer.

Was there a Warrant Officer contact?

There was some ex-military guy. He was removed from the lineup.
