It seems as though I can only buy one upgrade in each cagegory, since all the other upgrades in a category disappear once I buy one. Is this a glitch or a feature, or is there a way to get multiple upgrades?

admiral - that is correctly, you can only buy one upgrade in each category.

It would be pointless to have non replaceable upgrades if there was a way to buy multiple of them  |
