This is a little thing, but it seems odd to start the game on turn 35 instead of turn 1.

We will setup the turn display to subtract the fixed starting value.
It is necessary for talent cooldowns to work early in the game.

But what about the coding that keeps thing simple for the first few hundred turns. We've already lost 34 that could have been used for getting so easy no jump contracts. Edit: Cory is fast, how much coffee has he had today

That's what I figured, you got your post above in just as I was typing and posting mine. On my screen all I had was Mr Smith and fallen. Soon as I clicked post, there you were pretty much answering the question
