If you are weilding a light pistol in one hand, and this is your active weapon, and a Rifle in the other, and are carrying a second rifle in your pack, then if you tap 'item' as your battle order, and you use this to unweild your pistol and weild the second rifle, then the targetting red area isn't properly updated to understand that your current active weapon has a much larger range.
