I really want the captain's hp, how much waterfuel, how much damage to your ship, and crew injury & morale indicators to be available in the 'in orbit above a planet' screen. Either make them always available, or make them show up when you press the status button (which right now only gets you ship status, not captain and crew status)
And I find these indicators actually painful to use. I would much rather have indicators stacked one on top of each other, so my eye goes to one place. Making me have 2 other loci of attention, both outside the usual saccade length for human vision, hurts.
