{Before we begin, I'd like it noted that I'm new to this site, and sites like this in general, so if i make any mistakes, you know why. And if i do, feel free to tell me what i did wrong. That being said, lets get to my suggestions.}
In a game as deep and micromanagement-heavy as Star Traders 4X, chances are you will struggle to keep everything in check, especially your fleets when you've made tons of them. This can make the game tedious when you're having to manually tap/click on each ship, seeing which ones' specific health, MP and SP are, and can potentially scare off newer players. So I've made a what i consider a good idea for managing your ships easier, and we'll be calling it Micromanagement Mode {MM for short}. As the name suggests, it's a tool you can use to make ship management easier.
Here's my personal take on how it should work. MM will be an option on the UI that you can turn on or off. When MM is activated, it will show each individual ships HP/SP/MP. The health of the ship will be determined in colors for general assessment of how much health it has {for instance, green for high health, yellow for moderate health, and red for low health. If you want, you can also add in options for what colors show up based on the ships health.}, and the remaining MP and SP will be shown on the ship. And if say, the player wants an exact number for the ships health instead, there can be an option in the options menu so that they can see the ships remaining health just like with MP and SP. This would make the players life so much easier, as they no longer would have to keep a mental track of each and every ships stats. Or I'm just one of few who are simply not good at managing ships, and will eventually find out that one thing that makes managing ships easier.
Overall, this is just a suggestion to iron out a flaw. The problem itself is nothing game breaking, but I'm sure it can make newer players turn away from the game, and current ones annoyed with keeping a mental track of every single ships stats... or it's just me and a select few, i haven't looked around the forums to see if anyone else has a complaint similar to this, so I'm not sure how many have the same problem as me.
