How does negotiation currently work? How does it affect negotiating for better job payments?

You make a roll and you are paid more money based on the security of the location, your reputation and skill

So basically is it a flat bonus, or one on a curve? Just curious as I am currently doing the 'easy Vinny trick' (do vinny missions against K.horizon only, stay in the same zone and rest every 5 missions) and I upped my negotiation from 0 to 1 and haven't seen a change.
I'll up it a bunch more and see how it works. Thanks!

If you are making like under 200 per job then I doubt you'd see a big difference.
In the 2000-3000 / job range you will see a much larger increase in benefit from negotiation.

Never found that richest job XDXD Where?!?!? =) yes,BTW,as Cory says,if u do a delivery/pickup job with low pay(50-100) the neg roll doesn't help...I have NEG 2 with my fresh gunslinger and in a 50Y job i have an increase of +40,if I well remember...=)There was a thread where this thing is analyzed...I'll try to search for u...=)

I hear you Slide(or rather read you),but having every little detail all calculated out for you and toasted or whatever kinda removes you from the games immersion don't you think. I think such things draw away from RPG element and goes much more twords tactical...appropriate for TA but not as much for CK. More mystery makes the game a bit more of an adventure. Though things very important to the survival of a knight are somewhat important to spell out,but beyond that its up to players...who do you think writes all those FAQs anyway?,not usually the devs. Just my opinion.

Yes,this is true..But sometimes(in CK,but also in ST) i don't understand why things happen...The best thind could be to add more explicative toasts/dialogues: EG:U find a connector, ask him for a job, when u negotiate a toast appears: "Your NEG skill roll(10) gave you a +35Y for this job",maybe in a more Cyberpunk way,of course(I'm lack of imagination^^) This also could be applied in combat(EG:"Your FIREARMS skill roll(10) won on STEALTH enemy skill roll(7)"then the damage"...I don't want a Detailed D&D-style manual, only more transparency...=) In a Turnbased rpg, these things are almost a must-in...In an action-rpg not...=) It's my idea =) Then,if u don't want in ur CK game,TB could add an option that hides these boring toasts..=) It could be a conpromise(right word??)..

I will keep working on updating the Help file and adding more details to the interface.
Additional Toasts are not really a good answer from my perspective as a game designer.
They're not going to help immerse the player. There are already all the details on the attack and defend screen.
