While playing Star Traders I noticed the "Templar" officer looked similar to the Templars in Templar Battleforce. Initially thinking this was some sort of Easter egg/reference, I then discovered that TB takes place in the same universe, given its focus on the protection of the Star Traders and its use of the A.E. (After Exodus?) date system. Since then I've realized that not only do the Trese Brothers games have a common setting and lore, but also a dating system, that you could put their games in order: Background Lore: Apparently there is a huge civil war with the Star Traders and some other faction I'm not sure was named. In any case, Leviathan battle mechs make up the elite forces of the star traders, and the Star Traders themselves are led by Shalun. Presumably Shalun fights and/or wins 1,007 battles, since the achievement Fist of Shalun in ST-RPG requires the player to do this. Star Traders 4x: This takes place around 1 or 2 AE based on my brief experience playing it (they have the date in the corner) and sees the establishment of the syndicates and clans we see in Star Traders RPG. Templar Battleforce: ~12 AE: time revealed in opening cutscene. Star Traders: ~64 AE start date. Star Traders 2: (I don't know how to delete the frowny face but there's supposed to be 3 question marks there. It just came up after I posted and it's really weird.) apparently takes place after the first game based on the Kickstarter description.
Is this all right? I know there's tons of lore or maybe other games and media I'm missing; is there anything else you can offer?

Welcome admiral ! Your timeline is somewhat accurate, although there are some things that you should note! 1) ST4x theoretically takes place at any number of times during the Exodus. Each group of Colony Hives that split off from the main fleet started their AE datekeeping at the time that they set down on new worlds. 2) Battleforce takes place in 12AE compared to the Farfallen Rim, the Quadrant that Star Traders takes place in. Star Traders starts 64 years after the Farfallen Rim Quadrant is settled. 3) All of the Factions in all of the games existed before the Exodus, and well before the war with the Planetary Guild that forced the Exodus. 4) ST2 takes place roughly 200 years after the founding of the Farfallen Rim. However, do note that Heroes of Steel, CyberKnights, Age of Pirates, and the Star Traders universe are all distinct settings with no connections between them aside form the occasional reference or Easter egg.

You might want to check out this awesome lore summary that contributor made: startradersrpg.proboards.com/thread/5257/traders-templar-assault-background-settingIt's from 2013 (therefore before Battleforce was released), and incomplete (he gave up trying to finish it as far as I know), but it is still very awesome and informative. Also the reason why the Fist of Shalun award requires 1007 wins is because there is a legend about Shalun boarding an enemy Guild space station by himself and killing all 1007 enemy crew. Cory Trese posted about this legend somewhere on the forum, but I don't remember where.

In this forum software, three question marks in a row with no space between them comes out as a frown. Like this: So write it with spaces in between ? ? ? and you will be ok.

do note that Heroes of Steel, CyberKnights, Age of Pirates, and the Star Traders universe are all distinct settings with no connections between them aside form the occasional reference or Easter egg. some of the fan work ties them together rather messily at times.
