If you pick any other profession, when you create a new character, you are told
Jobs: X + <some other job> where X is the name of the profession.
So Merchants are Marchant + Hyperwarp Navigator, and Pirates are Pirate + Swordsman.
Except for Zealot. There is no Zealot job, Zealots are Commander + Swordsman.
And there is no Commander Profession.
Is there plans for a Zealot profession to come later?

Profession != Job
Zealot is a Profession, not a Job.
Hope that helps explain!

Maybe because regardless of name anyone can be a Zealot...sort of like anyone can be a Pirate although that does make me wonder why we have a specific job named pirate...

Thanks for the feedback, we'll think about a Zealot Job, but not sure we can expand the scope anymore.
Yes, anyone can be a Pirate, Merchant, Smuggler, officer in a Military, Explorer, etc. That's the whole idea of ST.

Some of these are so quintessentially Star Traders RPG that to omit them would cost use fans and damage our chances of having a good launch. Thanks!

Meant that to be rather "tongue in cheek" not a serious question or suggestion lol. Though to be honest, to prevent confusion and similar questions in future I think it would be good if all Captain "professions" had a matching Job associated with them. Yes my Merchant/Navigator/Diplomat Captain can engage in pirate activity and my Explorer/Pilot/Doctor Captain can pursue a career of Bounty Hunting, Patrols and Blockades, but they aren't really "dedicated" professionals like a Pirate Captain or Zealot would be who have fostered personal professional talents to engage in such activities. I look at a ship like a business, you can have a restaurant owned and managed by someone with a business degree who's never set foot in a kitchen or you can have one that has a 5* Chef who owns and manages it. Both may be successful but they likely take much different approaches and the resulting restaurants will likely be in far different classes.
