v.1.0.31 Captain's Levels on his status screen don't match. The second screen shot is correct this captain really is level 35. He has leveled normally and assigned talents. Smuggler(20) + Pilot(2) + Pistoleer(13)

Character Level != Job Rank Then maybe we should change the screens to read Smuggler [Rank 20] Pilot [Rank 2] and Pistoller [Rank 13]

Character Level != Job Rank I'm obviously lost again (there's a news bulletin lol) Smuggler rank(20) + Pilot rank(2) + Pistoleer rank(13) = total 35 ranks. 35 ranks are required for character to reach level(31)? How can I know in advance how many ranks I need to achieve the next character level? P.S. I didn't do a clean install because I wanted to see how far this captain could go. Doing clean install now.

athios I didn't understand that table at all when I read it before. I was looking through HoS glasses. Made no sense to me, so I just jumped in to play. It looks like all I need is one more rank in any of my 3 jobs to move from level(31) to level(32). Now I get it! Thanks for making it click! +1

Let's start with the wiki page - startraders.gamepedia.com/Character_LevelsNewly updated. Read the intro. Then check the corresponding Captain / Officer / Crew table. Looks like we are looking at your Captain -- the table shows "Character Level 31, ... Job Ranks 35, ... Talents 12" You only advance in Character Level by gaining Experience. Your Character Level determines how many Job Ranks and Talents you can have.

Can you please get rid of what ever .css is making the decision to use red text on black, or near black? This cannot be read at all by Protanopes (people who have red-green colour blindness because they cannot perceive reds) and will be pretty tough going for people who just have reduced perception of reds. www.colourblindawareness.org/colour-blindness/types-of-colour-blindness/

Ok then, sorry to nag, but it's tough on us with anomalous tritanomaly, too.
