It might be useful to create a parking lot thread for UI suggestions. As we use the alpha UI, quirks that would be off-putting to new users will become second nature to us.
A UI Suggestions Parking Lot Thread could start with a post providing rules of the thread and some parameters for feedback. For example, one parameter could be no feedback on ship builder upgrade UI, since this is planned for a complete overhaul. The second post might contain a list of curated suggestions; people could check there before they post a suggestion. The rest of the thread is for people to make and discuss suggestions.
Of course, we'd need some brave soul to curate the thread... not it!

tenbsmith - anyone can feel free to post feedback! It's just a matter of time for us. I don't have the hours to argue/discuss/belabor/beat-to-death the alpha UI. I'd rather work on improving the game and fixing the UI

I like the new icons you made for crew health and morale, but I wish I could see them, and the display of exactly how much w/f you have in your ship while I am on the planet when I can do something about the problems, and not get any more 'ooops, forgot to buy gas' moments.

Great point -- we need to make sure that we address the "forgot to buy gas" issue, and the friends it has, in a couple of different ways. As the UI gets rebuilt, we will make sure to keep this in mind, both for people who want warnings and those who want visual access to relevant data. |

fallen, I totally get that. what i'm doing instead is keeping my own list of UI suggestions, which I'll share if still relevant when we get to the UI phase.
