Playing on a smallish touch screen I don't always get the destination planet dead on when I podge the quadrant map with my finger, resulting in my ship skimming past the upper atmosphere but not close enough to go in to orbit. Would it be possible to put a 'catchment area' around planets so that if your ship stops moving close by a planet (say within the ships length), it will enter orbit automatically?

bobc - I have taken a note about this to see if we can do it. We'd probably want to try to respond to screen size, mobile only, and zoom level when looking at this.

It is only a nicety though since zooming in on the planet when you select it for navigation does guarantee you arrive and enter orbit.

I like this idea for smaller screens. As a small screen, big finger player I miss my target planet periodically
