Of course, permadeath is always on for higher difficulties. However, this week we've enabled permadeath option for Normal and Easy difficulties. We're excited to deliver on this highly requested feature from the player base. This allows you to play any difficulty in the game with permadeath enabled, and enjoy the unforgiving nature of Templar Battleforce regardless of difficulty. Thanks to all of our players who have requested this! We have also tweaked the timing on the End Turn confirmation button. It was a little too tight in its loop which could cause you to have to spam the button sometimes to end your turn. In additional, we have added two more faces to the roster, bringing the total of faces and helmets now up to 42. Thanks to everyone for their support and especially for those leaving reviews! v2.6.17 - 3/25/2017 - Added 2 new Faces to the Templar Designer - now pick among 42 faces and helmets! - Added option in New Game to enable Permadeath for Easy and Normal Difficulties - Play with Permadeath enabled on any difficulty level! - Improved timing and handling of Confirm End Turn with 50% unspent AP - Fixed occasional crash in story scenes On Steam for PC, Mac and LinuxTemplar BattleforceOn Google PlayTemplar BattleforceOn iTunesTemplar Battleforce

Loving permadeath but easier. Loving it. Loving it. Loving it.
I was too preoccupied with ST2 testing to even notice this new release, so sorry this is late ...
Thank you.

Curious what everyone here on the forum things -- there is a group of players sending emails and posting on Steam that are suggesting that the checkbox should enable Ironman Permandeath instead of standard Permadeath.
We're weighing our options and aren't really excited about adding a second checkbox -- just want one permadeath setting there.

I don't see idea behind two permadeath...permadeath is simply permadeath...

havnor - not exactly. If you look at Templar Battleforce's difficulty options, it is a tiered system. Any level can end when: - You win and accept the victory - You win but decide to retry - Decide to retry midlevel So, the permadeath options are all wrapped around "does someone die when you do any of these?" In Ironman Permadeath mode, the answer is "YES, permadeath" under all circumstances. The checkbox currently enables permadeath if you win a level and decide to continue. If you retry midlevel, any deaths are reversed. Sounds like you'd be in favor of Ironman permadeath mode as the checkbox.

Of course just that Ironman permadeath... Permadeath is simply you died and you are done, no resurrection, no try again just simple end of life... I don't see any easier permadeath than maybe just make that restrictions for difficulty levels different if are many players unhappy... Just my opinion ;-)

havnor - the request we're getting is to up the checkbox to "Ironman Permadeath" which means you could play the game on any level of difficulty and turn on the nastiest permadeath option if you wanted it. Seems like you're in that camp, I consider it another vote for the change. It is by far the simplest.
