So, since ST2's alpha started up, I've been tooling around in a couple of the other TB games. HoS nails the fantasy dungeon crawl feeling for me, ST2 is shaping up to be an absolutely amazing follow up to ST (those of you not in the alpha, you have no idea how far above expectations it is!), but, for my money, nothing beats BF.

That's right, BF is my main man, my Gibraltar, my home away from home. Those of you that remember when I first got on the forums probably remember that I was a huge TA guy. I loved that game to death. When BF was announced, you can be damn sure I jumped into the alpha. In fact, one of the portraits in game is based on me!
I'm currently running an Ironman Nightmare squad (The Far Walkers) and, I gotta compliment the TB because no game makes me feels better than BF. When you get your squad of ultimate badasses to successfully pull of a total smash and grab without losing a single Templar, absolute poetry. When you get your Hydra lined up just perfectly so she can toast 7 skitterings with a single napalm cross, bliss. Watching xeno after xeno be blocked by your captain's 62% autoblock, lovely.
The timer, which I'll admit I wasn't in love with, makes the feeling all the better. You actually feel like you are commanding a special forces team that is there to do a job. You're not there to kill xenos, you are there to secure an artifact/escort a vip/cleanse a hive/etc. Killing xenos may be a fun diversion, but you gotta MOVE.
I play a game, rotate to another game when I'm finished, and eventually delete pretty much everything. The only games that have migrated across phones and never, ever get wiped are: HoS, BF, ST4X, and Starrealms. Soon, ST2 will secure a slot as well.
So, TB, I salute you. BF really is a work of art.
