At the risk of crowding the screen, I'd like a marker for Doctors on the world map. It's a little silly to have to manually pick each planet, land on it and THEN find out if there's a doctor there.

Actually, instead of another icon, it would be good if the services available (if known) is just shown when hovering or long-press over the planet. Or on some planet list.

There is a long discussion buried in the 'Requests/Suggestions' on the upcoming 'Almanac' of information. Basically, you'll have information on everywhere you've visited. Plus the capability to 'star' or 'favorite' planets (and perhaps comment too), so you'll be able to know who has cheap fuel, good doctors, whatever. The discussion finished along the lines of 'things that you would normally keep track of on paper' should be readily available from within the game. I love, Love, LOVE the Almanac idea. This would be awesome.
Almanacs are usually published annually, so I might use encyclopedia or compendium. Something like Planetary Compendium would let the player know the type of information it stored.
