I was getting quite shot up, and so used a medkit to heal me. When that was done, neither of my rifles had any bullets in them. I had to reload. This never used to happen. I will check to see if it is related to having a hireling with me -- assuming the Yakuza don't kill me now, because with 0 exp points and crazy, it will be game over for me.
Hah! survived. But Steel had all his guns empty out of bullets as well.
Doesn't matter if you are with hirelings or alone. Use a medkit, have your bullets disappear.
