The new Stat Atlas is is starting out nicely. Thank you. It already makes things easier for those of us on Android.
I don't know what 'Fog: Yes' means. All My starter planets have it. They are all clearly visible, so not foggy at all. If you are going to use the : notation, and I think it is good, use it everywhere -- so 'Contacts: 1' not '1 Contacts' and 'Missions: 0' not '0 Missions'. This will fix the particular problem that you really should say '0 contacts, 1 contact, 2 contacts' because the : notation doesn't demand that you decline your nouns.
Knowing that a planet has 2 contacts is nice, but what I really want to know is which settlement do they live in so I don't go the wrong place. This error has cost me crew desertions when I needed to visit the contact who had a payment for me before I could afford to spice the unhappy crew. Sticking this in the Right hand Side would be ok. Missions has the same problem. The Nav button can get you back to a planet where you can get paid, but you need the atlas to work out exactly where to find a particular mission whose next step is on this planet.
Showing places with Fuel Depots is nice. I also want to know where I can repair and modify my ship, and eventually where I can buy a new one. I also would like to know if there is a doctor present, and how good a doctor he is. Places that have no spice hall at all are also significant, since you won't be able to pay unhappy crew there. I see now that the RHS changes to have this information when you visit the place. I was hoping for a LHS change, but I think this might be enough.
Independent non-Wilderness Zones on Faction worlds need to be marked specially.
The right hand side correctly notes that the Industrial Zone on Strana Mechty is Independent. But this information belongs on the left hand side, with the overview of the whole zone. You want to be able to go to a qudrant, and find out 'what are the independent places here' without having to click on each place separately.
It is also tedious to click on each planet in order to find out the names of the settlements on each planet. Since missions often refer to destinations by zone name, you want that on the LHS.
The atlas is something we need to be able to refer to from inside the office of a contact. We don't want to have to keep going out to orbit to find out which quadrants and which planets in a quadrant we already have missions.
I'd like the RHS to have a small representation of the quadrant, with each planet shown, and then a way to indicate which of these planets is the one being selected and looked at.
