Thanks. This version should save out the following things if you leave the application and then it is killed or reclaimed by the green robot's servants.
- Templar Position - Alien Position - CP and Turn - Blood and Gore - Facing Directions - Doors - Fires
So if you start a level, play for a while and then press "Home" and use a task killer (or run out of memory) and then switch back, it should put you into combat again.
If you get the main menu it couldn't figure it out.

I'm so glad to see that the blood and gore is saved ... but what fires? I didn't know there were fires in the game. <edit> I was soooooo hoping that there'd be at least one new weapon in this update ... now I gotta wait till next release </edit>

its pretty stable, I've killed it and come back a couple dozen times and even played other games and left it for over half an hour and when I came back told it was its own fault, all the abusive relationship classic (altho killing is usually last, not first) and it still came back. But once I was away for over an hour and it didn't come back and oncei turned the phone off and it didn't come back. But we made up cause I said I only did it cause I loved it so much that I had to leave.
So its more stable than before I think, but its not doing a hard save to long term storage like CK. I couldn't test phone calls and stuff cause its the middle of the night and there's nobody to call me. Besides, the game always wants to know who I'm talking to

TA is actually writing out the saved games to a more long term storage than CK does.
The issue is when it writes it (on pausing) and when it reads it (on return to combat.)
There are many ways you can get the phone's state off so that when you return, you return to the main menu (not to combat.) In that case right now the game doesn't look into the storage.

so is the new mid-level save working for you guys when the application gets task killed?

I didn't use any task killer, but I did notice that I left a game mid-way by pressing the home button, the next day it had reverted back to the start screen. So it's semi-persistent.

nah it's fully persistent the launch state is determined by your phone. If your phone instructs the applications to discard state and load the main menu it does so. I supposed I could add a prompt to ask the user if the phone has given the application the wrong Intent. Again, I'm serious about this ... it is NOT semi-persistent. developer.android.com/guide/topics/data/data-storage.html

No it's good to know - non-semi permanent is an important clarification
