Another poll ( )! I've decided to post these weekly, now. Therefore, the next one starts on the 30th. Links to the previous two: startradersrpg.proboards.com/thread/15878/baron-koda-braeys-familystartradersrpg.proboards.com/thread/15910/spare-voltgar-spoilersYet another tough decision we have to make. Hagathrun has helped the people of Gholla Outlook defend themselves, time and again. Not only that, but he's non-hostile and is willing to accept death, if need be. However, he is a withering god. Who's to say he won't be corrupted? Or cause the citizens of Gholla to rely on him a bit TOO much? More than they already do, at that. These are the excuses I used for killing him on a separate playthrough. Perhaps there's more to this, which all of you can add. I always spare him. How much harm can he really do, alive? When first coming to this decisions, he appears innocent enough.

Where's the poll?
I spare him, no question. He was a pillar to man's well being since the shattering. He is supposed to be that as long as he exists.

The problem is that Hagathrun and Nikolai lives are linked. Only one can survive So I chose Nikolai which mean Hagathrun has to died.

The party doesn't know that when the make the decision for Hagathrun's life. Plus, it's a heavy spoiler since I didn't knew that as well. Also, it's far more dramatic the other way.

As I said, when first meeting him, you just see a kind, withering spirit.

While it may appear that way, that is not actually the link. There is a cause and effect between Hagathrun and Nikolai's lives, but it is not "one or the other."

I chose to kill him since it seemed to me with His fading power Gholla was going to be overrun soon... It felt like it would break Hagathrun's heart and the people of Gholla's spirit... So I gave them something else to rely on as a mercy.
Maybe I was wrong.

To be clear, the link is not whether or not Hagathrun is spared.

I've gone both ways, but I usually spare him.

If you don't spare him you'll miss a really touching part of the story. If you kill him you might as well become a ratkin shaman while your at it. I can smell it from here. I personally would ask Selen to hunt you down and kill you slowly. But don't get me wrong, very little strong feeling about this hahah

You're deaths chosen. You judge. Can't think of any GOOD reason to kill hagathrun so he gets let off every time.
