I quite like this game, and was surprised to find that one of the developers had a similar favorite play style as I did: the Loyalist, a military officer of Cadar. I played in a slightly different manner, however. The Zealot doesn't give two creds about anyone outside of their own faction, and prefers crippling a vessel only so that they can steal from their cargo. Afterwards the victim is promptly destroyed for cash. They slaughter all ships that cross their path; even Independent Merchants that mean them no harm. And, generally speaking, their faction loves them for it. This play style is probably only viable in Basic mode, but it's a lot of fun and you really feel like a crazy BAMF after a while.
