V.0.6.7, fresh install as of today, phone info in sig
I ran into a problem yesterday where shops that sold cyberware would have new icons in taxi maps, but when you opened the tapmap, they'd have the old original 'clinic' icon.
I'm unable to take screenshots, so here's a quick description:
Original 'clinic' icon: green cross and scalpel
'New' cyber icon: scalpel and 4 wires/cables
tapmap: the map displayed when you click the map button titled 'tap for map'
taximap: the map displayed when you use a taxi, and need to tap for destination
So, I posted in another thread about how I wasn't sure if this was WAI Iworking as intended) or a glitch. Personally, I figured that Benni was coded as 'knowing' more about the area, where your character was still new. Your character might know that there was a doctor nearby, but probably wouldn't know where the cyberware installers were. So if you asked benni, his taximap would show the 'secret icons', and if you were wandering around by yourself and opened the tapmap, you'd only know where the clinics were... not if they were just doctors or if they actually installed cyberware.
Anyway, I don't have a way to reliably take screenshots on a standalone+nonrooted droid3, so I couldn't show what was happening.
However, afer reinstalling today, now each clinic with a cyberware option (daz clinic, doctor dave, marscorp private clinic, good samaritan, ca medical systems, frontline medical tower, frontline medical supplies, alchemical devices inc, yakashima medical services, pacific alliance medical, cyberdyne medical tech, summer street pharm, tattoo parlor, saytek medical research, south boston sacred heart) show the new cyber icon. All other clinics (general mayoto, metamagical research corp, southside goodhome shelter) show the original clinic icon.
Now that I've typed up all that craziness... is that a bug or how they are supposed to be seen? I know another person sees only the clinic icon no matter which map, hence me typing all this stuff up.
TL;DR version: what map icons should shops with cyberware options show, what icons should shops with doctors show, and should they be the same or different?
If necessary, I can try to take a picture of my phone using the webcam on my laptop (later, when I get off work) if this report doesn't make sense.
