Can they? Or do they both resolve to an apk of the same name? Figured id buy the amazon version to show support/add reviews, but I didn't want to confuse my phone.

Yes they can reside on the same phone at the same time. However, the games don't share any saved game history. Effectively they are 100% sandboxed applications.

For Star Traders it is easy because the Icons are different. CK and TA get confusing because they're the same

Yep, no problem.
I got both of them running just fine (except for that weird bug I posted... it shows up on the amazon version now, and not the android market version), and I posted a lengthy review on the amazon page. Hope that helps!
