The marker for the current waypoint on the movement map is invaluable.
I would love it if similar markers were placed for current contracts. Ideally, a long-press of the marked location would link to the contract description and/or allow a waypoint to be set right from the map.
A case might also be made for marking rumors on the movement map, but I could see a lot of clutter coming out of that, and a possible performance hit. Current contracts are limited in number, so those markers would likely prove manageable, not to mention very useful!
