Dodge or Armor? I like dodge, for avoiding damage, but is armor better? Which one is better having, and why? Avoid damage or soften it?

Depends on your build, heavy armor I usually give it to Cybersword runners and keep the high end dodge stuff on my Agent X Cyber Knight.
If I'm bringing a Hacker or Face that are lacking combat skills I'll give them the heaviest stuff I can get cheap to give a little extra survivability

As anonymous points out, armor can be easier to achieve than a high dodge score.

More important than 'dodge' vs 'more armour' is 'hard' vs 'soft'. There is inexpensive hard armour to be had at Tekla's House of Guns in the Fenian area. It's alslo high dodge, so that's nice too.

Dodge if you are sure you can dodge. Armor if not.
I usually go with both by buying AgentX Suits. Their stats are 3/4/3/Hard/Nano. Perfectly balanced armor with ok Dodge, ok Deflection, ok Melee Protection (forgot the name of it ^_^') but most importantly, it is both Hard and Nano-Ready, for only ~9k¥. And yup, my phone can make yen icon.

Dodge if your looking to base your survival on percentage (and a little bit of luck) armor for tanking bullets like a madman and taking your enemy out.

I'm so sorry, but what I said before is actually incorrect. The armor I use, Agent DX-Suit is actually 3 Balistics/4 Deflection/4 Dodge/Nano-Ready/Soft for ~9k¥.
What I meant would actually be Kraken Suit, which has 4 Balistics/4 Deflection/3 Dodge/Nano-Ready/Hard for ~18k¥. I was so focused on getting ladders that I forgot this existed.
Then there's the bulky tank called BattleNanoSuit, which is a massive upgrade to the 2 armors I have been talking about, with massive downside of having -5 Dodge.
I also noticed that some armor have opposite versions. For example, Jaguar Armor focuses on Ballistics, while ExoSuit focuses on Deflection. Both have same Dodge and same stats. Seems like there are also upgrades to some armor. For example, G-Mech Battle Suit is an upgrade to Jaguar Armor, with less Dodge but Nano-Ready.
Since I'm talking about all this, I'm writing down the armors that I think the best, their price, and where they are. I can potentially say there is variety.
Jaguar Armor : 9/6/-3/Normal/Hard 4962¥ from AzTek Commerce Center (North End), Old Bridge S-MART (Old Bridge, duh), Tekka House of Guns (Southie) ExoSuit : 8/7/-3/Normal/Hard 4962¥ from SMART West (Liberty Square) Agent DX-Suit : 3/4/4/Nano/Soft 9280¥ from Unified Metals Research (Boston Common) Kraken Suit : 4/4/3/Nano/Hard 17660¥ from Mars Corp Importers (Charlesbank) G-Mech Battle Suit : 9/6/-5/Nano/Hard 25411¥ from Ore-Cal Corporation (Downtown) BattleNanoSuit : 8/7/-5/Nano/Hard 25411¥ from Mars OmniTech (Beacon Hill) Jaguar NanoGuard : 10/6/-6/Nano/Hard 26626¥ from Unified Research Inc. (AzTek Core) X2-Mesh Vest : 7/4/2/Nano/Hard/Hund-Only 7149¥ from Tobin Street Pit (Tobin St. Slums)

The above are all elite armors correct ? I think. Since I have the elite version, I do not know if they are elite or not.
