G Pad 7.0 LTE Android version 5.0.2 Build Number LRX22G Software Version V41020d
Random and often crash to desktop After several dozen events, I can find no pattern. It happens during selecting requisition, level up, and mission selection from the squad control screen, during operations within requisition and level up selecting (including simply selecting a Templar and status, talent, equipment & design screens). Finally, it also happens during games.
And I see that the relay mission (intro 3) is still the arse raping random filter for no-death Ironman with a ~1/3 pass rate based on the randomness of the useful consoles (more than one failure in the lower 7) and/or spawn locations & types. Major reason IMO is that the Templars are just a bit too weak to handle any kind of swarm at this point with their low levels. Acting as a block (which would provide more than sufficient firepower) doesn't work because of the overheat and increasing swarming issues the longer the level goes on. Yes, a solution is to skip the 5 intro levels, but my question is, does this effect the game boards for no-death Ironman?

algesan - my first suggestion is always to update to the latest version of the game. Let's start there. Skipping the first 5 levels allows you to play into the no-death Ironman ladders. The only effect is that you start with what is considered average XP / RP granted by those levels. If you play through them and beat all the levels with high bonuses, you can end up with a higher score by not skipping the levels. However, considering the scale of the score, the potential difference in the first 5 levels is very small compared to skipping. Sorry you dislike the level so much. It has at 24% defeat to victory ratio by our numbers. Ironman certainly makes the game harder.

Heh, it is a commentary on the combination of factors, primarily when trying to rebuild Hardcore Ironman on a new platform. The only thing that makes it a PITA now is the crashing I've been having, otherwise it is a 10-15 minute run to go from start to there, and I've noted repeatedly that this appears to be something that cannot be "fixed" without causing many other issues down the line or across the lower difficulty levels. Anyway, I'm going to skip the intro levels because as you point out, the difference in XP/RP is fairly trivial in HC Ironman and it is the best way to avoid the filtering of that level. BTW, I'm assuming that it a 24% rate on Ironman. Does it include non-HC Ironman games? I can and have beat that level in Ironman more often if I don't care about the HC side of the thing. After all, the most common casualty is the poor Scout who gets homed in on by virtually everything on the right side that doesn't have another Templar closer, Stealth or no Stealth. In fact my last game was a "win", but at the cost of the Scout having to make a run to the top right relay, but had two of the bigger xenos spawn, move over and kill him right before the Captain popped the top left relay. Oh, and changed my sig to my comparison of Normal vs Ironman

algesan - hopefully 2.6.33 will help with the crashes. The only crashes we have reported on Android atm are originating in Java, somewhere in the Android's touch handler between apps. I don't think the crashes you are getting are originating from Templar Battleforce. Rooted device? Special ROM installed? Special windows manager? The 24% rate that we can see does not take HC vs. non-HC into account.

This is the AT&T variation if that is applicable. Touch handler, I'd agree with, it always happens when I touch the screen. I've gotten one crash so far doing the leveling ops after bypassing the intro, I'll let you know if there is more and see if I can check to see if I need to upgrade the JAVA on the tablet. Okay, thanks, that rate sounds reasonable for both HC & non-HC
