I just made a colony 1 turn ago and the next turn it turned into and Independent colony. No low morale no nothing. Built colony next turn > Independent. What's up with that ?

sparda4 - you'd have to share more details about the stats on the colony, but it sounds like the political simulator identified it as an unworthy planet for a Faction to hold ownership.

It happened right after i colonised. It's a red planet. Outer Reach. I didn't even have time to ruin the planet for it to go independent.

10 quality. Could that be the reason ? Possibly, though that isn't the worst I've seen.

It is possible. The Faction AI turns the planet over to the Indy controller based on operational values.
If they're too low, the planet goes Indy. Sounds like the AI found an immediate op issue with that zone.
Not a bug, just a part of how the game's AI works and balances. Indy worlds are a hedge to protect the player.
They work in your favor. ENjoy!
