Game won't start

Would really like to play the game, but it won't start. I'm trying it with an rather "old" phone. Samsung Galaxy Note 3.
Any suggestions what I could do?
when starting the game the screen simply goes black for approx a second and then the game simply returns to the home screen.

Sounds like the bug that affected the last big update. Fixed now,try loading the most recent version.
