Hi! I mentioned this in a post, yet it persists with 1.15. Very simply, in battle, when using guns, the number of guns I have does not decrease properly. While on the battle screen, the first number in the "Guns:x/x" does not decrease at all During battle, Even when scoring shots! Victory screen always displays full guns, though sometimes the correct ammount of guns (i.e. Less than full) is displayed after battle. In a test I just made with a lvl 14 challenging startrader class character on elite, I entered combat, flew in and blasted the enemy hull to 1 with guns, then retreated, exited combat, and saw I HADENT USED ANY! This occurs with all characters ive checked, rpg and elite. A new impossible lvl character I just tested saw a series of shots which decreased the count, but not all of them and victory saw only 14/18 guns, though more than four shots resulted in damage. I am using a lg optimus m, metro pcs. This occurs with all characters, was first observed with Aric, a level 14 elite star trader, confirmed with Obey my demand! A lvl 21 star trader on demanding, transfered from free to elite.

Yes that is how the Guns work, they are different than torpedoes.

Although if we change this it could make the game hilariously harder on Impossible.

What you see are really guns, turrets, cannons, you name it. Not ammunition. Less then full means they are damaged or destroyed. Ammo for guns is not tracked. Contrary, torpedoes are intelligent "ammunition", which decreases with successful hit and return for reload when miss.

Ah that makes alot of sense. Explains why it seemed enemy captians could steal my guns after boarding, they were really just sabatoging the plasma cannons!

LOL ... you'd need a LOT more guns if you were going to convert them to one-shot weapons. Also you'd need mounds of stones by the airlocks for when you ran out of guns.

it changed combat ... once out of torps and guns the only options were ramming (which the NPC did happily.)
It was interesting how adaptive the enemy pilot AI really is -- it had no problems adjusting tactics to alternate between torps and guns and the number of guns dropped, finally closing to board and ram after guns dropped to useless (around 4 left damage starts to fall off.)
It was different. Way too hard. If you did use that rule combat would need to be about 40% less common to accommodate the additional cost of guns.
