Probably Alpha UI, but when coming across a contact who sells Rare Goods, the description of 'not enough reputation to purchase XYZ Oil' from contact would/could use more info. How much more reputation? And what the heck is XYZ Oil? How rare IS it? Or better, a Ladder for more and more Rare Items? I'll bet myself a dollar that you've already thought of that [ EDIT: Late game (potential story arc), I would love to have an opportunity to be forced to make a decision where I come across a contact that has some rare goods or rare ship, rare weapon, rare talent... that it would make me question whether I want to obtain this new power (ex. super weapon) that would come at great rep/talent/?? loss (or some other crazy penalty like morale loss over time). I'd take mission after mission to reach a high level of effective rep to obtain this, then you would be either the hero bad guys want to kill, or the evil force that everyone wants to kill. ] Just a late night thought...

craig.rittenhouse - we're working on all the services to convert them to ladders, including Rare Trade goods. I think every service screen needs clarity added in terms of the costs, when you can / can't, what you'll get. Thanks for the post. Story arc sounds interesting. I think you'll love the story we are cooking!

Rare Goods are probably the weakest custom Contact service right now, I agree. We're working on it!
