Sinocelt - no, they are a Navigation Job type, not Intimidation. Having that Trait is a major bonus, but maybe we should remove it for something else. 10. Yes, that is just for starting Influence.

Sinocelt - no, they are a Navigation Job type, not Intimidation. Having that Trait is a major bonus, but maybe we should remove it for something else. Maybe, though it's possible to be scary without trying. Still, I must admit I'm also not enamored with a trait that relies so much on luck. Other traits are also tied to luck, of course; but over many, many rolls, luck averages out, whereas this trait relies on just a few rolls for its effectiveness. Kinda like rolling HPs for Mages in the original D&D. ("Great, I'm level 4 and I've got 4 friggin' HPs! A house cat could slaughter me") Sinocelt 10. Yes, that is just for starting Influence. Then better add "starting" to "Contact Influence" in the template creation form. Talking about Contacts and templates: I think the current Merchant template should have one of its Contacts, maybe Military Commander, replaced by Politician. Politicians are providers of Negotiation-related missions, which are the best for a Captain whose strong point is the Negotiation Skill. Plus, players who chose that kind of character are likely to enjoy that kind of missions.

Ok, thanks added "starting"
I think, over 30 levels, even if you take the average you get +6. Amazing bonus that is unachievable any other way in the game.

9. The Bounty Hunter has "+25% pass Intimidation Saves" as a trait, but Intimidation isn't one of his/her skills. Not sure where you're seeing +25% Intimidate Save. Menacing reads: 20% chance to gain permanent +1 Intimidate Skill Bonus when leveling (max 12) That is exactly as intended for Bounty Hunters, who can be pretty scary people. Especially when they're shoving a Snubber in your face

But since it depends on just a few rolls, some Bounty Hunters will end with +12 and others with 0. The fewer the rolls, the greater the chance not to get an average result.

Fixed for next Wiki update. The determination of primary skill was wrong.

Fixed for next Wiki update. The determination of primary skill was wrong. Same problem with Bounty Hunters: their primary Skill is Rifle, yet they gain more in Evasion. Combat Medics, too: their primary Skill is Pistols, yet they gain more in Doctor*. And Commanders. And Explorers. And Merchants. And Pirates. And Smugglers. And Zealots. (Secondary vs. tertiary skill, in each case.) And maybe Quartermaster (higher Command than Ship Ops at level 11). ----- ** That skill needs renaming. Medical Care, Medical Support, even Doctoring or Healing would be better options, both because all Skills should be nouns and because a Skill and a Profession shouldn't be named the same; that's bound to cause confusion now and then.

Yep, all the primary stuff fixed.
To be clear, we have no plans to rename Doctor or Pilot Skill at this time.

Yep, all the primary stuff fixed. And the tertiary Skills receiving more points than the secondary Skills, too? To be clear, we have no plans to rename Doctor or Pilot Skill at this time. OK. But "Doctor is a skill" smacks of illiteracy, game speak or no game speak. Well, I'm no longer a college professor. I should learn to close my eyes to such stuff. Though playing with my eyes closed may prove somewhat challenging.

I saw that .27 was released and I've started downloading it. For some reason, it's going to take more than one hour at a record 20 kB/s speed. รด_O
But I also had a look at the Wiki, and the Professions are still messed up.
