1 ● Q. When you lose a battle because you lost all your pilots, does it mean everyone with Pilot as a profession or everyone with Piloting as a skill?
1 ● A. If you have less than 5 Pilot points in your Pilot Skill Pool, or less than 5 Ship Ops points in your Ship Ops Skill Pool, you can no longer fly your ship in combat. For more details, CLICK HERE.
==============
2 ● Q. Do "secret" jobs become available as second jobs when you discover them in game? Can Spy captains ever take Assassin as a second job, to build up their Stealth skill?
2 ● A. Not at this time.
==============
3 ● Q. In crew combat, are some skills pooled? Tactics, maybe? Are Command and Intimidation used? (Not just through this or that talent.)
3 ● A. In crew combat, skills are never pooled, and they're only used through talents (except for Evasion). Default talents are added whenever combat starts, so that every combatant has one based on the weapon type carried.
==============
4 ● Q. Do you round up or down? For instance when we have "(Quickness + Wisdom)/2" in "Crew Combat Initiative = Big Dice((Quickness + Wisdom)/2)) + Initiative Bonuses."
4 ● A. Down.*
==============
* I'll make sure my Attribute numbers are either all odd or all even!

If your SHIP'S COMPONENTS stop providing at least 5 Pilot, you lose. If your SHIP'S COMPONENTS stop providing at least 5 Ship Ops, you lose. Yeah for WIKI, put up a page to record this critical data: startraders.gamepedia.com/Ship_Combat_Defeat

Hmm, it seems investing 5 skill points in pilot for a combat captain might not be a bad idea, especially on smaller ships with fewer pilots

============ Hmm, it seems investing 5 skill points in pilot for a combat captain might not be a bad idea, especially on smaller ships with fewer pilots Ok, my bad on this. I wanted to correct my mistake. Cory pointed out my mistake in reading the code. If your SHIP'S COMPONENTS stop providing at least 5 Pilot, you lose. If your SHIP'S COMPONENTS stop providing at least 5 Ship Ops, you lose. I have updated the wiki page with the correct rules. startraders.gamepedia.com/Ship_Combat_Defeat

I don't see an answer to my question there. Crew combat isn't even mentioned.

Oh, that was a question, not a criticism. If you don't have time to answer here, I'll wait for you to do so in the Wiki. I know it's just a question of time.

As people get deeper into the game, I'm sure some player written guides will start to show up as well.

From current experience and understanding of discussion on threads etc, crew combat is a personal affair, with no pooled skills, with no foreseen intention to pool skills in the future. However, a combatant may be able to use their skills/attributes with an appropriate talent to benefit the combat team, such as getting a 'doctor skill + 20' hp recovery from the medic.

Nope. Sorry. Doesn't answer my question. Doesn't even touch it. In that case, I have no idea what the question is.
