so it should adds 1d3 + 1d3 + 1d3
but often I saw it added only 1 AP

I suppose your dice do not have a 0 on them.
My 3 sided dice have 4 sides: 0, 1, 2 and 3
Maybe that is confusing. I will do something to improve

well, calling a die that has 4 sides a d3 is about as confusing as it gets. What you want to say is that you get (1d4 -1) AP per equipment level, it seems.
