So I seem to have plateaued in Star Trader.
I have a Flagship that wins every fight with ease, and 3 million in the bank, but there doesn't seem to be anything else happening. There's nothing to spend my money on (no better ships, no more promotions) and I got bored at 1,000 reputation.
Have I reached the end of the game or is there more to find?

@traderboy - the answer is clearly Star Traders: Frontiers!
For ST RPG, you should increase your difficulty and play again. It will make you get into even more parts of the game to survive, rumors, conflicts, more!

You could go Alien hunting, if you are on a high enough difficulty for Aliens to spawn. You could also make a new captain and play the game differently by being a different profession or holding yourself to special rules and conditions for a challenge run.

And by "forever" you mean until the Aliens inevitably generate an extremely high level ship and devour you?

resistor Actually, except for a case when my alien hunter was on a vacation or torping, no alien hunter of mine succumbed to aliens. Pirates are what keeps killing me though. Also, there will always come a time when a boarding alien hunter must retire due to diminishing effectiveness of weapons.

Bit late to this party, but @traderboy, if you are smashing the game, upping the difficulty makes everything that much more magical. You take all of the juicy knowledge you learned in your current difficulty, and see how much of it keeps you alive in the harder setting. I know ST is long in the tooth, but it's still certainly a spectacular achievement for an app. There is so much to learn and do - and learn. I don't know of anyone apart from the Creator who knows everything about it. I play a lot on impossible difficulty and don't expect survival to be a given. If you're cruising in Impossible difficulty then, as my wiser and smarter peers have suggested, go hunt some Aliens, or knock off some of the game challenges (Awards/Unlocks). I've been playing since almost the game's creation, but still have a few awards to unlock. They're pesky ones that require stars to align in just the right way, but still entertaining to achieve all the same. Sign up an account and pull up a chair. Pretty soon, you'll be talking crazy talk like the rest of us. Oh - and obviously as Fallen has suggested, there is always STF .....

Give it time, take up a new job like trading or exploring and try that out. See how long you can last
