So i've noticed that the same gear lvl bio weapon does more damage then the sniper. And i was wondering if it's normal. And if so why ?
Here are two logs. No buffs:
Hit for 63 dmg Attack[12s+22]=8 vs defend [2s+4]=2 Deflect[74%-10%pen]=64% Phys dmg[61-85]=76 Soak[12-23]=17 Bio poison dmg [12-42] Soak [5-9]=4 dmg
(Second shot)
Hit for 102p Attack[12s+22]=10 vs defend [2s+4]=4 Deflect[53%-10pen]43% Phys dmg[61-85]=78% Soak[1-4]=3 Bio poison dmg [12-42] Soak [5-9]=27 dmg
That's the bio weapon.
With a Sniper i get 50-70 ish damage most of the time but will edit to post a sniper log. (Ps if this is a bug can this be moved to the bug page ?)

sparda4 - maybe screen snips using Snipping Tool would be best to show the attacks? Looks like the first attack was maybe using the -Armor debuff? Or it penetrated? Hard to tell from the read out. Without the Sniper data next to it, I can't really make a comment. Bio-Poison weapons cut around armor and cause damage via special damage, so that can be great. The value of either weapon type is going to be dependent on the debuffs your using, attack talents, and the war gear. A weapon is never in isolation by itself. If you can provide the full detail stack, I am sure we can help.

You can use the [ img ] URL of image [ / img ] tag to post sceenshots, just remove the spaces between the brackets.

Ok, thanks for the screenshot. Now, can you restate the question? The log makes it clear (hopefully) how and why damage is being dealt. Looks like you got a really great Critical on the first Bio-Poison weapon shot with a 2.14 multiplier (good stats!) and a Critical on the second Sniper rifle shot with a 1.42 multiplier (not good stats for a Sniper Rifle!!).
In both cases, the debuff you are applying is nuking the enemy armor completely, which means that the Sniper Rifle's high penetration is not as valuable, because the armor is pretty much already non-existent. But you can see from the log that both Sniper hits penetrated (50p, 109p) and neither bio-poison hit penetrated.

So i'm nuking the armor already ? I see. It seemed VERY off that the sniper gets 50-60 damage while i get 70+ on bio weapon. So it's only because the sniper is built for armor while the bio is for everything else ? Thanks a lot.I asked En1gma before i made the thread so that i don't make a tread and take up space for more important stuff.

sparda4 you are very welcome to make as many threads as you want If you want to mention the two weapons by name, I could take a look. But, in general, Needle Rifles (bio-poison) are very low in penetration and not good at punching through armor. But, they have BP damage which goes around armor. If you are combining them with the -Armor Curse, that is a great move. For Sniper Rifle, you're not getting a good critical multiplier. That is directly caused by the Attributes and Skills you are using. If you are going to use a Sniper, consider respecing. Also, consider some attack that helps increase your critical % instead of reducing armor, since the Sniper is going to punch through that armor anyway. So, by stacking the -Armor curse with your sniper, you're not taking advantage of the weapons' strengths. Perhaps also the Sniper Rifle has higher range and accuracy?

The weapons are the needle viper and the stealth op mk6 fallen. And what i was going for is brute forcing my way through the thougher and sporting WAY larger health pool enemies.. So i was thinking "The more AP the better".

sparda4 - I think the biggest thing about weapon choices is making sure you're playing to their strengths. The strategy, war gear, skills, attributes, talent you are currently using is far better for BP rifle. If you're picking up a sniper, check out the Headshot Talent, increasing your Stealth for better Crit Multiplier, and consider war gear that gives direct bonus to Damage and Crit %.

So what should be the stat's for either weapon type ? I figured the skills out on my own. Just trying to figure out the best "balance" so i can eliminate both threats (armor or huge health pool) in few turns as i can or even in 1 turn.

I think for Sniper Rifles you want high +Damage and hit Critical % war gear. Their natural high Penetration is going to trash most enemy armors. Talents like Headshot can help guarantee big crits.
