Would it be thinkable to apply the nades update v2.6.39 to AoE melee attacks? Find it quite frustrating when you get a XOX (X=ennemy O=empty) situation and you find yourself unable to do an AoE attack. I really love my melee units but I find them struggling a bit when facing large number of ennemies that are not in a XXX formation. I reckon melee could use a bit of lovin' to end the Overwatch supremacy haha! Well probably not on the highest difficulties but... Could definetly make them more attractive! P.S: Just realized I'm still playin' after a year, good job guys

That would be tricky, I think. I would frequently use an AoE melee attack on an empty square to hit a single target beside it, even at a higher heat cost, because I would avoid any counter-attack. I suspect that balance issue will prevent this from happening.

fusei - thanks for the suggestion! I am not sure this is something we can add without a huge restructuring of the attack system. Grenades were already in a special category and so we were able to move them effectively. I can take another look once we get through our current exciting BF project

Don't worry about it then, probably not worth the trouble! And as drspendlove pointed out it could be exploited anyway(didn't think 'bout that, good on you).
