Sometimes when you go to hire a bodyguard or a scout, you hit the "recruit" button and nothing happens. What are bodyguards and scouts looking for, or what is their criteria, hiring on as they only sign on with worthy captains. What is the criteria making one "worthy?" |

Do you have empty officer cabins on your ship? ST RPG only allows 3 officers.

Apart from free slot there are no recruit criteria.

Empty officer slots are available. I think it is an IOS bug. I asked about upgrade issues for IOS in another of these forums, stuck at v.5.2.1 and the officer recruit bug unless something changes. The problem only exists for officers you find in the wilds, the palace officers recruit just fine. After many, many turns, the wilds officers seem to acknowledge me. It's very hit and miss.

Oh, I am sorry. That's true, it is a bug in the iOS version.
