I am in episode 2, using an iPad. I have finished the Koda side and am now working through the Braeys side. I was lucky enough to get a 50 armor curiass (light) some time ago and have been saving it until I found 2 bloodstones to craft (for some reason I have found very few in ep2).
I crafted it using a Barons Torc as Tuner. It had just finished when my iPad ran out of power and shutdown. No problem, I figured, I recharged it and then restarted it. I get back into the game only to discover that Not only did I not have the newly crafted armor, but neither did I have the original armor, nor the tuning team, nor the Bloodstones!
Needless to say, I am extremely bummed out. This was, by far the best non-magic light armor I have come across, no stores have anything close to it (I am at level 25, normal difficulty). Worse, given how incredibly rare bloodstones have become in episode two, I don’t see any realistic options for me to replace these losses.
is there anything I can do about this? Or has this bug completely hosed me?

rbarryyoung - sorry to hear that you lost the items. I am not sure how it could happen, because the game only commits to the saved file at the end of crafting when everything is finished. Are you sure you don't have a magical light armor laying around in your inventory that you didn't have before? Either way, that sucks. I've taken a quick spin through the code and it uses all the same safety checks that a normal commit to the saved game file uses to avoid any loss of data. If you are missing the ingredients for the craft, it sounds most likely that you also have the result. Might be worth a re-check. Bloodstones are still abundant throughout the game, but you do have to keep looking off the beaten path for them. We have been working on a few sections that lacked them, just added +15 to the City of the Dead (episode 3).

Hmm, theres no light armor at 50 or more. Is it possible that it lowered the armor rating? Or, do you know what the name of +50 light armor would be?

What may have happened is that the armour could have been lowered. Occasionally, you will find upgraded mundane items in chests (the most abundant example I have seen is Oxenbone Bow, I will almost always find one that does 19-51ish damage but the ones you get from the store are 17-47 or something around that). Damage on weapons will go up but armour on armour will increase as well. When you craft it though it reverts to its base mundane form. For example, you might have found an upgraded Novir Leathers which upgrades to 51 armour I believe but it’s mundane form has 45. Check your armours that are just below 50 and you may find it.

I have Lowland Leathers at 48 armor, with parry and hp bonuses that I’m not sure if I had before. Could that be it?

It doesn't sound like that should be it unless the original item was named Lowland Leathers?

Bloodstones are still abundant throughout the game, but you do have to keep looking off the beaten path for them. We have been working on a few sections that lacked them, just added +15 to the City of the Dead (episode 3). I must say I agree with the OP. Bloodstones are plentiful in EP1, so I experimented with crafting, just to see what would come out, so used up all my stock, Ive done 1/2-2/3 of EP2 and they are thin on the ground, and I do fully explore. I know there is at least one in Bone pass - I can see it on the far side of the ice, but I haven't got my emberlog yet, and there was one (I can't remember if it was in Waning Moon Pass or Brellim Peaks, which I would swear wasn't there on my first pass, but appeared in a corner of the map that I had already revealed when I was passing back through, after completing a quest. Beyond that, I can't remember any, although there might have been one or two that I'm crediting to EP1.

Thanks for the feedback. We added +15 Bloodstones in the last update and will keep at it!
