I have one single complaint in an otherwise nearly flawless game, and that is the quality of the 1 AP blades.
I just got into Act 4 and, granted, the Acc and min damage went up on the single 1 AP blade available, but the max damage went DOWN. What's more, I had similar problems going from Act 2 to Act 3. The improvement on the 1 AP blades was tiny, and when I have 2 chars that rely on them, it's been a disappointment. I've half a mind (after crafting them and seeing the enchantments on them) to go back to my earlier blade because there was no real improvement.
Everything else gets some great improvements, but the scimitar kinda sucked beyond the slight Acc improvement.
Any chance on these getting better on a future patch? Dual wielding with 1 AP blades on Kincaid has been awesome, but with the dramatic increase in mob armor in Act 4, I was really looking forward to a damage increase. Maybe improve the scimitar or create a more expensive blade with improved damage?

varentai - 1 AP blades have huge advantages in the number of attacks that they can make. Based on the balancing of all the weapons in the game, 1 AP blades get a smaller number of points because of their low AP cost. Making 7 Attacks (1 AP) versus making 3 attacks (2 AP) is a massive difference. You get the bonus from all of your buffs and talents 2.33X more than all other combatants. I've seen lots of forum threads about how 1 AP blades are the best and OP'ed honestly.

I know that they have the lowest dam of nearly every weapon in the game, it's the fact that there was no real improvement from Act 3 to Act 4, and instead dropped max dam that I was wondering about. But I'll soldier on anyway.

varentai - can you name the two weapons that you are comparing? I'm happy to take a look and see if there is an issue.

Tulwar (Act 2 or 3, I forget which) and Scimitar (Act 4) I see the following: Tulwar - 5 Accuracy, 6 Parry, 31-45 Dmg, 1 AP Scimitar - 9 Accuracy, 6 Parry, 39-44 Dmg, 1 AP The base damage is higher. The top end damage is slightly lower. The accuracy is 80% higher. If you can find a Keen Tulwar (E4) you'd get: Keen Tulwar - 7 Accuracy, 8 Parry, 36-52 Dmg, 1 AP You should consider crafting some 1 AP blades for bonuses.

Heh. I'm a newbie player, but I've got to admit that I've personally been avoiding 1 AP weapons just because they seem _too_ powerful. Watching the sorcerer mow down opponents with half a dozen Storm Strikes in a single turn, or the thief spew out curses covering an entire attacking force, almost seems like I'm cheating.

Holy Strickening + Torrent of Steel + Elemental Sundering + Elemental Damage Bonuses + 1AP Blade = Mayhem
Adding 10 max damage simply isn't relevant for that build. It's all about elemental damage.

Yeah, I found 1 Keen Tulwar, and I craft all my weapons. I'll watch for more of them!

Oh man, yes. On another thread, someone taught me about Holy Strickening. I had at first dismissed it as kinda worthless, but I took his advice and respecced with it at level 10, and holy cow, it's amazing! I'm keeping Vincent away from melee combat, so elemental sundering is not a thing in my party (at least not yet. Maybe I'll respec him to try it...), but I just got Kincaid's 1AP relic blade (side note - that was a TOUGH battle, died several times). I'm just sayin', I *totally* forgive you for not doing a major weapon upgrade in E4. That thing is amazing. I paired it with the Feathermind amulet (+12 mag dam) from the relic store, and when Fyona hits with lvl 10 Holy Strickening followed up by Vincent's lvl 10 Energy Storm, Kincaid just walks through nearly everything. It's crazy. Now I just need Selen's relic. Where is it? Freeport?
