Meteoric shockwave

How do you imagine it's working?

In case of other fire spells it's easy to explain and ash melts armor probably or it works like glittering dust (baldurs gate), however meteoric shockwave is just some earthquake without meteor (because it doesn't do damage) it disrupt balance (accuracy and dmg).

A ball of flame and ash falls from above and hits the ground. Surprisingly nothing comes of it but a shockwave of force that nearly throws every enemy to the ground but washes over the heroes without effect. Ears are ringing and vision is swimming as the heroes leap into motion again.
