Indeed I am (only) using the Discord app. In case I missed something I left the server and joined again. The only button I have to click is labeled "Accept Invite", which I do, leading to full reading but no writing rights, so to say.
I sent a DM to Liviana, but that got blocked too.
I am writing from non-US, but I somehow doubt that this should be of relevance.

Nope. Same result.
It's rather mysterious, as this is the only Discord-Server I have this problem with. Thereby your link is recognized as valid and not expired.
Sorry for stealing your time, guys. The last time I felt clueless like this was a week-long fight with a hidden racing condition. What a ridiculuos difference in level, though...

Solved by updating the Discord App. Simple solution for big problems. *sigh*
