Question
Do any of you run Tamilin primary using bows instead of knives?
If so, how do you build for bows?
PS - Ever since Tamilin got to use Knives, I have been run Tamilin as a primary knife thrower. Bow just seem to have less of a kill power.

Depends on the build.
I think the old school build is awesome, and am running it successfully on my current run. I do Blacknight 1, Aimed Shot 2, and start saving for Deadly Intuition. If you want extra first turn damage, a point in Silent Stalker or two gives you great chances to deal great damage at 6-7 range. Once Ranged Onslaught comes out, you're a killing machine.
Bows keep her safe and out of danger from ranged enemies that target the soft characters, especially useful against the Storerooms and CoD.
Late game bows have up to 8 range, and Ranged Onslaught lets you hit enemies from ridiculous range.

If Tami is in charge of -AP, then she is throwing knives. Otherwise, always bows.

Blacknight 2, Farsight 1, Deadly Intuition ++, Silent stlaker 1, deadly intuition ++, volley 1, deadly intuition to 10

Torrent of Steel can be so epic. I feel like the bow build is a slow burner. I'm pretty sold that close in, is better than long range for HoS. It would be tempting to imagine the ideal long range bomber team.

Deadly Intuition to 10 and the Volley, yummy.

Heavily buffed 1AP knife attacks are hard to top in terms of overall damage. The +27 average damage on Onslaught and Aimed Shot aren't enough to outweigh this, and while a high level Onslaught has a magnificient target area it is really SP expensive.

fallen @cory Maybe Ranged onslaught could use some +crit damage?

We'll keep working on improving. Having played hours of each, it is still a very competitive option. Especially considering all the different team builds that can rely on long-ranged nukes.

For a long range team with Tamilin, you would burn 1/2 of your AP with farsight (in order to see the monsters) in order to shoot just one round of range onslaught. Then they would close. Would not the advantage be with knives?

KJ has Spirit Sight, or you can put points into Farsight to reduce its cost. You can absolutely get 3 attacks off

Would not the advantage be with knives? Actually, you don't have to see them. The game allows you to hit enemies with AoE that you cannot see. The AoE template of Ranged Onslaught at high levels if very large. It's very easy to shoot the farthest back enemy and hit a ton of enemies that are technically out of sight. It's also a great way to gauge where the enemies are. Oh and then by the 3rd shot, you can see how many of the hits don't appear again and know ... casualties! Hard to judge if you haven't tried it

Would not the advantage be with knives? Level farsight to atleast 2 later 4 reduces ap cost with stealth win and increases area revealed

Yeah, with Stealth on, Farsight is reduced in cost. At level 2, just down to 1 AP.

fallen , En1gma , contributor This Thread has convinced me to start another group to showcase Tamalin as a long range artillary cannon and a counter part to my current group. Heavy Metal will go down the Braeys sotry line and if my new group idea can make it that far they will go down the Koda story line. New group will be called Thunder and Lightning. Kincaid, Vincent, Kyera, and Tamlin (all the characters I am not using right now and I think Vincent would want to side with Koda) Kincaid will be dual wield cunning footwork, ltb, crippling strikes and flanking unity, Vincent is going to go the energy storm, thundering blades route, Kyera is going to be stretched to the max with roles: Primary AP curse, emergency decurse, group buff (Etheral Anguish, 1 pt in purifying breeze, warders shield, and eventually banishment, maybe a point or 2 in sacrafice and purity ward undecided), Tamalin is going to be blacknight, farsight, Deadly intuition, silent stalker, and ranged onslaught. May eventually take a point or so in torent of steel as a back up/stacking curse for boss enemies) Battle plan is to start with some thunder Etheral anguish and Silent stalker / ranged onslaught, then as the enemy gets closer (range 4 to melee) follow up with lightning (energy storm and and attacks boosted with lightning damage from thundering blades)
