spacemonkey - sounds like they are working on a fix for this one.

No, it actually sounds like they are _not_ working on a fix any time soon at all. So it looks like, to me what we need is a dump of everything we have, so that we can start hosting old images someplace else.

At this time, we have followed their advice and deleted enough old images that you can now access resouces again.

The space will be gone in a week. bet. I went and explained this to the proboards thread, in case they just don't understand why this is important.

fallen, if you have managed to archive the files and images before you cleared them, I'd be okay with hosting them for a while. I'm tempted to put in web hosting on devaltos.com just so I can store ST files ... the only hesitation is that my wife would wonder why I am paying $7 per month for website hosting when we don't have/want a website

slayernz - we have generally just been deleting old images that were uploaded that are not important. Before we hit the upload size limit, a lot of "fun" stuff was uploaded to the forum and clogged the space.

Yeah I remember - most of it wasn't me putting cat pictures ... "No cats were harmed in the making of my posts". Anything I personally attached in the forum was archived on my local computers so all is good there. I do think that turning off the ability to attach files to forum posts is actually a sensible option because otherwise the problem will never really go away.

I was able to download this to my PC. So thank you shallowthought for this great tool. I'm wondering though if any of the data has changed and, if so, is the map up to date?

Well, I've found this map so useful that I want to keep it open all the time. But, I play from my tablet, and it's easier for me to use my browser. So, I've uploaded it to my website. If you care to, you can access it here: bit.ly/2iBS06AIf you have troubles with it, please let me know. It works, for me anyway, in chrome, safari, opera, Firefox, and MS edge. Not sure about IE. Never use it myself if I can help it. Hope this is helpful to someone out there.

Sorry to dig up this old thread, but I am looking for a copy of the star traders map I can view on my android phone. None of the links I have seen in this thread work for me. I get error messages such as input file not found. Does anyone have a working link for a map. Does not need to be interactive.
