I've been using the spreadsheets produced by rich (for wild/urban zone data) and slayernz (map of the universe). But seriously, you can't expect me to alt-tab between the two, that's just crazy. Therefore, I have hacked together some html and javascript to produce an interactive browser-based map which will allow you to view planet info and search for planets based on urban/wild zone data.
Also included is a .csv of all planet+star data.
Hopefully this will be of use to you. Email / pm me any errors found, or post here.
To use - unzip and open "map.html". Planet+star data is in "planetdata/planets.csv".
Tested and works in chrome, firefox, and, surprisingly, my phone browser. Not surprisingly, doesn't work very well in IE, so you'll just have to get a real browser.
Have fun!

Oh VERY nice!!! Definitely worth an exalt for this You know though that you'll soon be bombarded with requests to tweak the map display - "can you show me this" ... "can you change that" ... all part of the fun of being in this forum though.

Yeah, I can see that coming. But it seems somewhat pointless to have this just sitting on my computer when so many other people can make use of it.

I wonder if it can be uploaded to the ST RPG Wiki? <Stu ponders> ...
If I can get it up there and make you the editor of the map, it could mean more convenient convenience
Lemme see what I can do.

Very nifty! Exalted! Wish I could do something like that... By the way, there would definitely be wankers who're gonna say, "Hey, this map's too small! I can't see anything!".
It might be nice to write in a line: "Hold CTRL+Mouse Scroll to Zoom In/Out".

btw, I'm not smart enough to figure out how to get this thingy imbedded in the Wiki. Hopefully Cory or Andrew could figure it out

I spotted a few mistakes in the map, and have added zoom instructions to the readme. Here's the updated files... Attachments:

I hereby award you 106 kudos. Don't spend them all on "entertainers". I had been considering a printed reference map but this is much better!

The download is hosted by Proboards, so it should be OK. I was able to download using Chrome on a PC and Mac
